A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS APPROVING THE
LAKE GRAPEVINE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR
LAKE SAFETY TASK FORCE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE SAID AGREEMENT; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Texas Interlocal Cooperation Act (Chapter 791, Tex. Gov.
Code) and Chapter 362, Tex. Loc. Gov. Code (relating to the provision of law enforcement
services through the cooperation of cities and counties), various governmental entities located
within the Lake Grapevine area have entered into an agreement for the provision of law
enforcement services entitled "Lake Grapevine Interlocal Agreement for Lake Safety Task Force
and Law Enforcement"; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas has determined that
it is in the Town's best interests and in support of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens
of the Town to enter into the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The Town Council does hereby approve the Lake Grapevine Interlocal
Agreement for Lake Safety Task Force and Law Enforcement, a true and correct copy of which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Mayor of the Town is hereby authorized and directed to execute the said
Agreement on behalf of the Town of Trophy Club.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage.
