A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS ACCEPTING A BID FROM AND
AWARDING A BID TO GE CAPITAL MODULAR SPACE
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A POLICE BUILDING IN
THE AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY SIX THOUSAND
THREE HUNDRED FOUR AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($466,304.00); AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE SAID
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION WITH GE CAPITAL
MODULAR SPACE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with State law, the Town heretofore sought bids for the
construction of a building for the Police Department as described in those contract documents
entitled "Town of Trot by Club Police Rui 1 di %%and
WHEREAS, bids for the construction of the Police Department building were opened on
April 12, 1996, and it was thereafter determined that GE Capital Modular Space was the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the "Town") does
hereby accept the bid in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty Six Thousand Three Hundred Four and
No/100 Dollars ($466,304.00) from, and award the said bid to, GE Capital Modular Space for the
construction of a building for the Police Department in accordance with and as set forth in those
contract documents entitled " Town of Trophy Club Pot ice Bu i Id ing
"; provided, however, that the acceptance and award of the said bid to GE Capital Modular
Space is subject to and contingent upon the Town securing adequate funds, in the sole opinion of
the Town, to pay for and finance the said construction project.
Section 2. Upon the securing of adequate funding for the Police building construction
project as determined by the Town Council, the Mayor of the Town is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with GE Capital Modular Space for the performance of the said
contract.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas this
the 16th day of April 1996.
