RESOLUTION NO. 97-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS APPROVING A ONE
YEAR RENEWAL (FROM OCTOBER 1, 1997 THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 30, 1998) OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE TOWN AND DENTON COUNTY FOR THE
COLLECTION OF AD VALOREM TAXES WITHIN THE
TOWN; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE TOWN TO
EXECUTE THOSE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECT
THE SAID RENEWAL; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas heretofore entered into a contract with
the County of Denton for the County to serve as the ad valorem tax collector within the Town;
and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to renew that contract for a one year period beginning
October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The Town Council does hereby approve the renewal of a contract with the
County of Denton for the County to serve as the ad valorem tax collector within the Town. The
period of renewal shall be from October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998, and shall be
subject to all of the terms and conditions in the existing contract.
Section 2. The Mayor of the Town is hereby authorized and empowered to execute
all documents necessary, if any, to effect the said renewal.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
