RESOLUTION NO. 98-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS ESTABLISHING A
TEMPORARY COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DEVELOPING A TEN-YEAR VISION OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OPTIONS
BE ITA4E SOLTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
WHEREAS, the temporary committee shall be known as the Community Development
Project Committee and be seated for a period of ninety days and present its work product to the
Town Council and residents of Trophy Club at the conclusion of its term; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Project Committee using the Comprehensive
Land Use Plan as a guide shall develop a vision of what Trophy Club could be in the year 2008
considering Residential, Commercial, and Recreational possibilities. The committee is
encouraged to use current technology such as architectural and landscape rendering systems
along with computerized spreadsheet analysis to develop and tell its story and to include the
economic impact of various options considered; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council shall allocate up to Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars
for the committee's use in carrying out its duties including administrative support, travel,
computer and meeting facilities. All expenses will be processed by the Town Secretary; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Project Committee is encouraged to visit
other localities for the purpose of gaining insight into what is being done in the areas of
Economic Development, Residential Development, and Recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the Committee have up to twenty-five (25) members
who represent a diverse set of experience and skills. Including, but not limited to, developers,
Town Committee Chairpersons, clergy, schools, various governmental functions, and media.
It is also recommended that Mr. Peter Stebbins Chair the Community Development Project
Committee and work with the Town Mayor to extend invitations for those to be seated on the
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, that the Town of Trophy Club shall establish a
temporary committee for the purpose of developing a ten-year vision of community development
options, as set out more particularly as follows:
1. Name. The committee shall be known as the Community Development Project
Committee and may hereafter be referred to as "the Committee."

2. Term. The Committee shall be seated for ninety (90) days commencing from the
date of its first meeting.
3. Members. The Committee shall be Chaired by Mr. Peter Stebbins and shall have
up to twenty-five (25) members drawn from developers, Chairpersons of other Town
Committees, clergy, school representatives, other governmental entities in the Town and
representatives of local media. Mr. Stebbens and the Town Mayor shall extend invitations to
those persons to be seated on the Committee.
4. Report. At the conclusion of its term, the Committee shall present to the Town
Council and the citizens of the Town of Trophy Club
