RES 1998-26sA RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS EXPRESSING TOWN
GRATITUDE TO THE MEMBERS OF THE VISION 2008
COMMITTEE; ACCEPTING THE VISION 2008 TOWN
MISSION STATEMENT; RECOGNIZING LIMITED TAX
RESOURCES OF THE TOWN; AND SUPPORTING
IMPLEMENTATION OF VISION 2008 ACTION
INITIATIVES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club (Town) expresses its sincere gratitude, on behalf
of the residents of Trophy Club, to each and every member of the Vision 2008 Committee for
their time, efforts, and creativity in formulating the Town's long term objectives; and
WHEREAS, the Town accepts the "Mission Statement" and "Vision 2008 Statement"
as delineated in the Vision 2008 report; and
WHEREAS, the Town recognizes that the Mission Statement defines the core values of
the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town recognizes that the Vision 2008 Statement delineates specific
objectives and priorities of the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town has limited tax resources which constrain implementation of all
the Vision 2008 objectives; and
WHEREAS, it is in the Town's best interest to continue to work with Northwest
Independent School District (NISD) to create cooperative use facilities and programs; and
WHEREAS, the Town supports comprehensive planning by all staff and committees in
the Town toward the implementation of Vision 2008 objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF ''•'
1. The above premises are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the
body of this Resolution as if copied in their entirety.
2. The Town adopts the Mission Statement provided by the Vision 2008 Committee
in its official report.

3. The Mission Statement and the Vision 2008 Statement will be the foundations
upon which the Town will base its actions, future plans, and budgets.
4. The Town directs the Town Staff and Standing Committees to review the Vision
2008 Report and incorporate the "Vision 2008 Action Team Initiatives" into their planning and
budgets.
5. The Town will immediately begin to work with NISD to develop a plan for a
summer youth recreation program.
6. The Trophy Club Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) and Public
Relations Committee (PR) will focus their collective efforts in a joint effort to promote economic
growth.
7. The Town will make budget projections for the next ten years for the Vision 2008
Report Town recreation facility requirement.
8. The Town will further define the duties of the Full Time Volunteer Coordinator.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas,
