RESOLUTION NO. 1999- 28
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE
PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town is empowered under §51.001 of the Texas Local Government
Code to adopt an ordinance or rule that is for the good government of the Town;
WHEREAS, the Town has entered into an interlocal agreement with the Town of
Westlake wherein a DPS Board was created;
WHEREAS, the DPS Board created by the said interlocal agreement took charge of the
duties previously performed by the Public Safety Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Public Safety Committee is hereby abolished;
Section 2. That all unfinished business of the Public Safety Committee be transferred
forthwith to the DPS Board; and
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage in
accordance with law.
