RESOLUTION NO. 1999-38
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ANNEXATION PLAN
FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the 76"' Texas Legislature, 1999, adopted S.B. 89, extensively amending
the Texas Annexation Act, Chapter 43, Local Government Code;
WHEREAS, Section 17(b) of S.B. 89, 76t" Texas Legislature, 1999, requires that each
town adopt an annexation plan on or before December 31, 1999, that includes territory the Town
plans to annex three years from the date the territory is placed in the plan in accordance with
Section 43.052, of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the town has extraterritorial jurisdiction which would require an annexation
plan to be adopted prior to annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB:
Section 1. For the purposes of Section 17(b) of S.B. 89, adopted by the 76t" Texas
Legislature, 1999, and Section 43.052, of the Texas Local Government Code, the Town Council
adopts the following annexation Plan:
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB
ANNEXATION PLAN
The Town Council has reviewed the boundaries of the Town and has determined that the
Town does not have territory within its extraterritorial jurisdiction which would require
being in an annexation plan prior to its annexation.
The Town Council reserves the right to amend this annexation plan in the future to add
territory for annexation should circumstances change.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage, and in
accordance with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas,
on this the 21st day of December, 1999.
