A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 85-4
RELATING TO TOWN COUNCIL MEETING DATE AND TIMES;
SPECIFYING NEW TOWN COUNCIL MEETING DATES AND TIMES;
PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING OF SPECIAL MEETINGS;
PROVIDING MEETING LOCATION CRITERIA; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 85-4 duly passed and approved by the Town
Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, on May 27"i, 1985, an official policy of the Town
was established holding that regular Town Council meetings would be held on the second and
fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 85-4 further provided that Council may hold as many
additional meetings during the month as may be necessary for the transaction of the business of
the Town and its citizens; that the Town Mayor, on his own motion, or on the application of three
(3) aldermen, may call special meetings of the Town Council by notice to each member of said
council. Secretary and Town Attorney, served personally or left at their usual place of abode; and
that all regular and special meetings of the Town Council shall be held at the Municipal Utility
District Building, 100 Water Plano Road, Trophy Club, Texas 76262, except that the City
Council may designate another place for such meetings with all meetings of the Town Council
being public meetings subject to the Provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the passage of Resolution 85-4, Town Council met at a
regularly scheduled meeting on January 23, 1989 and determined Council meetings should be
held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, and meetings have been scheduled
accordingly since that date; and
WHEREAS, Council now finds it in the best interests of the Town to repeal Resolution
85-4 through the passage of this Resolution scheduling Town Council meetings for the first and
third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m., while readopting all other conditions of Resolution
85-4 as specified hereinabove; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section L Resolution No. 85-4, duly passed and approved by the Town Council of
the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, on May 27"' 1985, is hereby repealed by the passage of this
Resolution.
Section 2. Town Council meetings will be held on the first and third Monday of each
month at 7:30 p.m.

Section 3. All other conditions of Resolution 85-4 as specified hereinabove are
readopted by the passage of this Resolution.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas,
this 21 st day of November, 2000.
