RESOLUTION NO. 2001— 32
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE TERMINATION OF THE
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB AND THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE FOR EMPLOYEE SERVICES,
SUCH TERMINATION EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 31, 2001; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (hereinafter referred to as "Trophy
Club"), and the Town of Westlake, Texas (hereinafter referred to as "Westlake"), entered into
an Interlocal Agreement on February 19, 2001, establishing provisions for the Town of
Trophy Club to provide specific employee services for the Town of Westlake;
WHEREAS, the initial term of the Interlocal Agreement was for a period not to
exceed one (1) year, and automatically renewable each year for a total of ten (10) years, with
an established notice period of six (6) months for termination of the Agreement by either
party;
WHEREAS, at the time the Interlocal Agreement was executed, Westlake had only
two employees;
WHEREAS, Westlake's budget for Fiscal year 2001-2002 provides for the addition
of seven (7) employees;
WHEREAS, based on the growth rate of Westlake's staff, both Trophy Club and
Westlake have determined that there is no longer a need for Trophy Club to provide employee
services for Westlake and mutually desire to terminate the Agreement without providing the
six (6) month notice required by the Agreement;
WHEREAS, Trophy Club and Westlake have mutually agreed to terminate the
Interlocal Agreement between the Town of Trophy Club and the Town of Westlake for
Employee Services, such termination effective on October 31, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council hereby approves and ratifies the termination of the
Interlocal Agreement effective October 31, 2001;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the decision to terminate the Interlocal Agreement between the
Town of Trophy Club and the Town of Westlake for Employee Services, effective October
31, 2001, is hereby ratified and affirmed.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law, and it is so resolved.
