RESOLUTION NO. 2001— 34
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, APPROVING THE DENTON CENTRAL
APPRAISAL DISTRICT'S PROPOSAL TO EXPAND ITS FACILITIES AT
3911 MORSE, DENTON, TEXAS AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR SANTE;
DIRECTING THE TOWN SECRETARY TO FILE A COPY OF THIS
RESOLUTION WITH THE CHIEF APPRAISER UPON ITS APPROVAL
BY THE TOWN COUNCIL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on the 4`h day of December, 2001, the Denton Central Appraisal District
delivered to the Town of Trophy Club a resolution by the Board of Directors of the Appraisal
District proposing to construct an addition to its facilities located at 3911 Morse, Denton,
Texas, with an approximate size of 3,840 square feet, with one-half of such addition to be
finished out immediately and the other half to be finished out as the need arises at a future
date, such Resolution being incorporated here ':n c- reference;
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of $378,357.00 to construct the building and to
complete the first half of the building would be paid by the Appraisal District from funds on
hand in the District, which amount includes a reasonable contingency to cover possible cost
overruns thereby reflecting the District's intention not to borrow funds to pay for the
construction;
WHEREAS, the time frame for completing the second half of the building will be
based upon the economy; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, finds and
declares that the best interest of the Town would be served by approving such proposal;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the proposal of the Denton Central Appraisal District to construct
an addition of approximately 3,840 square feet to existing facilities and to pay the cost of
constructing that addition and completing the first half of that construction out of current
funds of the District is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law, and it is so resolved. Upon its passage, the Town Secretary is
hereby directed to file a copy of this resolution with the Chief Appraiser.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, this 17 day of December, 2001.
