RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 07
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB TEXAS APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION
FOR PROJECT LIFE -LINK TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION, TO OBTAIN FUNDING TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL
RADIOS FOR USE BY POLICE PERSONNEL; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE
SUBMISSION OF THE GRANT APPLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council finds it in the best interest of the
citizens of Trophy Club, Texas, that the PROJECT LIFE -LINK ("Project') be
operated for the FY 2002 year;
WHEREAS, the purpose of participating in the Project is to obtain grant funds to
purchase additional portable radios for use by police personnel;
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council has considered the proposed
application for State and Federal Assistance for the Project, in the amount of
$9,742.50 to be submitted to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice
Division;
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council has agreed to provide matching
funds for such Project in an amount not to exceed $1,082.50, an amount equal
to ten percent of the total Project cost, upon award, as required by the grant
application; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council has agreed that in the event of loss
or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds, Trophy Club Town Council
assures that the funds will returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Trophy Town Council approves submission of the grant
application for the PROJECT LIFE -LINK to the Office of the Governor, Criminal
Justice Division, LLEBG Program in the amount of $ 10,825.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor or his designee may execute all necessary
documents for the submission of the grant application.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date
of passage in accordance with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, this 18th day of February, 2002.
