RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 37
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS,
REQUESTING THAT CARROLL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT,
KELLER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND GRAPEVINE-
COLLEYVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT PASS THE
RESOLUTION PRESENTED BY THE NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL DISTRICT AFFIRMING THE NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL DISTRICT'S BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, due to recent legal disputes regarding county boundary lines, all or portions
of the city limits of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas have been determined to be located within
one or more of the following school districts: Northwest Independent School District, Carroll
Independent School District, Keller Independent School District, and the Grapevine-Colleyville
Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, prior to the legal dispute regarding County border lines, the Northwest
Independent School District, Carroll Independent School District, Keller Independent School
District, and the Grapevine-Colleyville . Independent School District operated under school
district boundaries that have been in place for over fifty (50) years; and
WHEREAS, the maps and descriptions for the Districts have been on file with and
formally recognized by, the Texas Education Agency as boundaries for the Districts; and
WHEREAS, prior to the legal dispute regarding County border lines, the Town of
Trophy Club, Texas was wholly located within the Northwest Independent School District and
location within a single district reduces confusion and provides for cohesiveness within the
community; and
WHEREAS, the Town finds it to be in the best interests of the Town to remain within
Northwest Independent School District and supports affirming the Northwest Independent
School District boundary description.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Town of Trophy Club, Texas respectfully requests that the
Carroll Independent School District, Keller Independent School District, and Grapevine-
Colleyville Independent School District pass the resolution presented by Northwest Independent
School District affirming the school district boundaries that have been in effect for over fifty (50)
years; and

Section 2. That The Town of Trophy Club, Texas respectfully requests that none of
these school districts take any action that would result in a change of the current district
boundaries of the Northwest Independent School District; and
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the
Town of Trophy Club, Texas.
