RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 44
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2000-23 CREATING AN
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE AND ESTABLISHING
DUTIES AND PROCEDURES FOR SAME; COMMENDING THE
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE FOR ITS SERVICE TO
THE TOWN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 5, 2000, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club
adopted Resolution No. 2000-23, Texas, creating a Information Technology Committee; and
WHEREAS, during its three year tenure, the Information Technology Committee
has served the Town well by providing quality recommendations and guidance to Council
and by assisting with the growth of the Town's Information Technology Services; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2000-23, provided for the creation of the Information
Technology Committee, membership, terms of office, chair -person, obligation and duties of
committees, conduct of meetings and removal and vacancies; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 2003, the Town Council appointed a Committee Task
Force to review the current volunteer committee system utilized by the Town and to make
recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Town's current
committee system; and
WHEREAS, having concluded its assessment of the existing committee system, the
Committee Task Force made recommendations to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council hereby finds by adopting the recommendations from
the Task Force, it has become necessary to repeal Resolution No. 2000-23, so that conflicting
ordinances and resolutions are not in place and that such action serves the best interests of
the Town;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas does hereby
repeal Resolution No. 2000-23 in its entirety.
Section 2. The Town Council commends the members of the Information
Technology Committee for their efforts and services provided over the past three years.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage in
accordance with law.
