RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 07
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS COMMENDING THE TROPHY CLUB ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT GROUP FOR ITS SERVICE TO THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB AND ITS RESIDENTS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an independent group called the Trophy Club Economic Development Support Group
(the "TCEDSG") was formed in March of 2003, by third parties, not in association with the Town; and
WHEREAS, the TCEDSG established this group for the purpose of providing information related to
Town residents regarding their right to vote in a proposed local option election; and
WHEREAS, since its establishment, the TCEDSG has served the Town and its' residents well by
providing quality communication to the residents regarding their right to vote and has apprised Town Council
of the actions of the Texas Legislature in extending the right to vote in local option elections to a municipality
located in two counties; and
WHEREAS, the TCEDSG and numerous resident volunteers serving the TCEDSG have worked
tirelessly by going door to door to inform residents of their right to vote, by gathering signatures for the
required petitions for the holding of a local option election, and by assisting residents in becoming registered
voters; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to recognize those individuals who worked on the TCEDSG for
their outstanding dedication to the community and to express Council's appreciation for the efforts of the
TCEDSG and its many volunteers.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, wishes to express its appreciation with
special recognition to the following:

Neil Twomey (Co -Chairperson) John Navarre
Kim O'Neil (Treasurer) Lola Richert
LeAnn Brown Numerous Resident Volunteers
Pam Cates
Section 2. The Town Council commends the members of the TCEDSG, along with its numerous
residents volunteers, for their efforts and services provided over the past months and thanks them for their
tireless service to the Town and its residents.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage in accordance with
law.
