RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -15
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2005-
14 APPOINTING CITIZENS TO FOUR (4) SEATS ON THE
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION; AND ADOPTING A NEW
RESOLUTION APPOINTING CITIZENS TO SERVE IN FOUR (4)
SEATS ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMNIISSION;
DESIGNATING TERMS OF SERVICE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, benefits by having its citizens
involved in local government through service on Commissions; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council is charged with the responsibility of
malung appointments to Commissions serving the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club adopted Resolution No. 2005-14
appointing residents for four seats on the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, those appointments were made prior to the institution of an
evaluation system; and
WHEREAS, the Town has adopted a system for evaluating citizen volunteers to
determine which volunteer is best suited to put their particular talents to work on a
specific board or commission; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is of the opinion that the use of an evaluation
system is provides for fair and impartial selection of those board and commission
members whose talents are the best suited for service on a specific board or commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 2005-14 is repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. That the Town Council hereby appoints the following individuals to
serve on the Planning & Zoning Commissions as indicated, with a term of service that
expires in the year specifically provided below:
1. Steve Stamos
Planning: & Zoning Commission
2. Gene Hill
3. Andy Hayes 4. Clayton Reed
Section 2. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, this 18~ day of July, 2005. -
