RESOLUTION NO. 2012-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2012-26
APPOINTING TOWN COUNCIL LIAISONS AND APPOINTING
CITIZENS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; PROVIDING FOR A
VACANCY IN ONE SEAT SERVING AS AN ALTERNATE FOR THE
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, benefits by having its citizens
involved in local government through service on Boards and Commissions; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council is charged with the responsibility of
making appointments to the Boards and Commissions serving the Town whose terms
are expiring and to replace members who have resigned; and
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2012 by passage of Resolution No. 2012-26, the
Town Council approved citizen volunteer appointments for FY 2012-2013 for vacant and
expiring terms of service and reaffirmed then current positions for all Town Boards,
Commissions, and Corporations, including the Zoning Board of Adjustment; and
WHEREAS, Town guidelines for appointments and service on Town Boards,
Commissions, and Corporations prohibit the appointment of an individual to serve on
more than one Board, Commission, or Corporation without the granting of a waiver of
that limitation by the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, by passage of Resolution No. 2012-26, the Town Council approved
the appointment of Jim Hase to serve on both the Citizens Financial Advisory Board and
the Zoning Board of Adjustment without having granted a waiver to the service limitation
set forth in the Town's guidelines; and
WHEREAS, based upon the number of interested and willing volunteers, and
after input from Jim Hase regarding his preference to serve on the Citizens Financial
Advisory Board, the Council at its November 5, 2012 meeting declined to approve a
waiver and approved a motion to allow Mr. Hase to continue to serve on the CFAB, and
to remove him from service as an alternate for the Zoning Board of Adjustment; and
WHEREAS, by passage of Resolution No. 2012-26, the Town Council approved
a vacancy to the Citizens Financial Advisory Board;
WHEREAS, by passage of this Resolution, the Town Council hereby amends
Resolution No. 2012-26 to reflect a vacancy for one alternate position to serve the
Zoning Board of Adjustment, as specifically provided below, and all other terms of
Resolution No. 2012-26 shall remain the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 2012-26 is hereby amended to appoint a new
member to the Citizens Financial Advisory Board and to reflect a vacancy in an
alternate seat for the Zoning Board of Adjustment and a as set forth below: and

Section 2. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with the law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, on this 10th day of December, 2012.
